Job Title : Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor

Reports To : Methamphetamine Grant Coordinator, Local Law Enforcement - (Al Wysocki)

Type of Position: Full Time, Part-Time, Contractor - (Hourly), (Salary) - (DOE)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Seeking hardworking certified (or under supervision) individual responsible and accountable for performing work involving the coordination and management of an extensive caseload of methamphetamine/alcohol offenders in diversion from pre/post conviction. Works under the oversight of The Methamphetamine Grant Project Coordinator.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Work requires exercise of extensive initiative and independent judgment in the establishment of treatment programs for addicted persons;
• Assist in case management of Methamphetamine drug offenders and report case status to law enforcement and State and Tribal Court;
• Assist with Meth Awareness Team;
• Assist with training between law enforcement and Tribal Court to maintain ongoing efforts for offender diversion;
• Develop partnerships with Indian Child Welfare (ICW) personnel, social workers and behavioral health treatment providers;
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :

Must have appropriate CADC licensure (or working under supervision towards licensure).  Minimum of a Bachelor ’s degree. Experience with Drug Court or court ordered drug offender diversionary programs a plus.
