Overall Mission:

The mission of the Office of Environmental Protection (OEP) is to protect and preserve the environmental resources of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma, both on tribal lands and within shared communities, with a primary focus upon preserving cultural integrity and exercising tribal sovereignty through environmental capacity enhancement and tribal environmental code development and implementation.
