Position is responsible the administration and coordination of the organization's fleet of motor vehicles as well as Capital Assets. Maintains accurate records of vehicles and ensures compliance with government rules and regulations and files paperwork in support of compliance as needed. Maintain inventory on all assets ensuring repairs, and proper documentation and act as a liaison with contractor’s and vendors.
Develop preventative maintenance program for all equipment and manage all outside contracts with vendors to perform repairs.
May be required to operate a variety of vehicles and equipment including backhoes, loaders, dump trucks etc for miscellaneous services or to inspect for inventory purposes.
Complete and maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities; enter work order history, cost and parts inventory data into a preventative maintenance program
Coordinate with Purchasing Agent to maintain inventory of parts and supplies needed for vehicles and large equipment as required
Provide input and assist with monitoring expenses for operating fleet budget.
Participate in development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and procedures for fleet management
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area with safety rules and guidelines
Responsible for receiving, tagging, and tracking all capital assets as well as large equipment
Responsible for checking, inspecting and organizing all assets to ensure equipment is in working order
Obtain and review competitive bids, quotes, and proposals from vendors and contractors as directed
Assist with updating and maintaining inventories for all equipment and supplies including location, asset tag number, serial number make and model of equipment into data systems.
Communicate effectively cross-functionally with both internal and external liaisons as well as upper management to perform tasks as assigned
Perform Administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by supervisor
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor degree or equivalent of 3 years’ experience with particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position
Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and standard practices of the automotive, light and heavy equipment
Knowledge of government finance, budget and procurement standards
General office skills, computer skills, and the ability to work closely and relate well with fellow employees
Accounting experience is a plus
Strong communication skills both written and oral required
Physically able to perform required duties ( lifting 50 lbs, standing for long periods of time, stooping, squatting and occasionally working outdoors )
Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License, be able to pass a background investigation, and be able to pass a drug screen
