GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The CCDF Assistant Coordinator assists the CCDF Coordinator in administration and consultation for all CCDF programs to include Building Blocks, AST Tribal Childcare Subsidy, as well as AST After School Programs. Will help in assisting the Building Blocks Directors by providing support guidance and direction. Coordinates all aspects of the CCDF grant with the CCDF Coordinator. Some supervision of other CCDF Staff.
REQUIREMENTS
• Responsible for understanding the philosophy and administrative policies of the CCDF grant, childcare and Tribe, and for ensuring that they are implemented and followed.
• As a communicator and promoter, will convey and receive information related to the Grants and child care facilities and programs to the CCDF Coordinator.
• Must be willing to be innovative with child care and child care grant objectives and able to convey those ideas to the CCDF Coordinator and other staff.
• Must be able to keep up to date on all early education /child care initiatives that are important to the community, the programs and the Tribe.
• Cooperates with licensing staff and other appropriate agencies in maintaining compliance with requirements and in improving the quality of care.
• Assists to promote and raise awareness of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe and the local community regarding the needs and demands demonstrated by the children, parents, and the Tribe.
• Serves in a leadership role as it relates to both management and grant planning.
• Must be willing to assist in the childcare programs as needed. Willing to provide direct child supervision.
• Assist Building Blocks Directors and ASP Managers in hiring staff (teachers, administrative staff, cook, tutors, etc.).
• Assists with CCDF Coordinator with budgets and coordinates with the centers and programs.. Assist in budget modifications as needed.
• Assist Building Blocks Directors with compliance with the CCDF grant in facility, policy and procedures. Provide other assistance to Directors, as needed.

• Willingness to accept other duties as assigned.
Responsible for the administration of the AST Childcare Subsidy program.
• Assist in supervising CCDF Specialist(s) and CCDF Assistant.
• Applicant interaction and approval and ensure their compliance with subsidy program and guidelines
• Ensure childcare provider monitoring and communication to include provider visits and conducting onsite checklists.
• Investigate applicant complaints regarding childcare providers.
• Process monthly provider reimbursements.
• Maintain applicant and provider data in the CCDF Tribal Tracker system.
• Evaluate provider reimbursement rates as needed.
• Ensure provider compliance with monitoring guidelines from CCDF and DHS.
• Always maintain CONFIDENTIALITY.
Responsibilities for the administration of the CCDF Grant.
• Assist in conducting the annual AST Child Count following the CCDF guidelines.
• Assist with the AST Plan Preprint as needed.
• Ensure all programs compliance with the most recent Plan Preprint.
• Assist in writing and reviewing P&P’s relating to the Plan Preprint.
• Analyze data from the Tribal Tracker for the submission of the Tribe’s annual CCDF reporting requirement.
• Ensure all annual reports are submitted, data and financial.
• Attend all meetings, webinars, and conferences relating to CCDF as needed in place of or with the CCDF Coordinator.
• Communicates with federal grant support staff regarding CCDF and tribal administration of CCDF, in the absence of the CCDF Coordinator.
• Report CCDF updates to CCDF Coordinator and Tribal Administration if needed.
Responsibilities for the administration of the AST After School Programs.
• Assist in supervising the ASP Manager and staff.
• Assist in the hire of ASP Managers and staff.
• Assist in the administration of ASP financials, such as budget, revenue and purchasing.
• Ensure health and safety philosophy is followed in regards to transportation safety, nutrition, hygiene awareness, decision making, appropriate child behavior and redirection, and daily safety and wellbeing.
• Assist in program activities and planning.
• Able to step into any role in the ASP as needed.

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must have at least an Associate’s Degree, with 2 years of experience in a CCDF program or child care subsidy, preferably in CCDF administration. Prefer a Bachelor’s Degree with some experience in CCDF grant administration. Or a combination of education and experience.
• Ability to obtain CECPD Director’s Credentials a plus.
• Experience with child care provider licensing and monitoring, preferred.
• Knowledge of OKDHS Licensing guidelines a must.
• Must possess strong public relations and communication skills.
• Valid OK Driver’s License.
• Must pass drug screen.
• Must pass background check and fingerprint clearance.
