General Description
The purpose of the position is to handling information requests, and performing clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain Tribal Representative’s schedule and the schedule for the Tribal Representative’s Conference Room.
Creates and implements community related activities for presentations, mail-outs and other related informational needs.
Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheets, database, or presentation software
Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution
Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email
Prepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquires
Perform general office duties such as ordering supplies and maintaining records
Traveling, on occasion, with and/for the Tribal Representative to various meetings
Make travel arrangements for the Tribal Representative
Other duties as assigned by the Tribal Representative
Education Requirements and Qualifications
Associate’s Degree (preferred but not required) and a minimum of two years of professional or technical administrative experience in business or public administration or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of qualifying experience for each year of the required education.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have excellent computer skills.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
