General Description
This position oversees all aspects of the Domestic Violence program; ensures consistency of service delivery to victims of domestic/dating violence; sexual assault; stalking and human trafficking. The Domestic Violence Director is responsible for the overall planning, administration and management of the program’s services.
Responsibilities
The duties of this position include and are not limited to the following:
Program Planning
The Program Director is responsible for developing strategic programmatic goals and yearly plans to ensure the successful delivery of all agency services. This position will keep apprised of current research and best practices in services. The Program Director will also assist in the creation of program budgets, monitor expenses and actively participate in the development of funding proposals.
Service Delivery
This Program Director will develop and manage program services that are effectively and efficiently delivered and that operate within the goals, mission, policies and procedures of the tribe. This position ensures that programs comply with all relevant laws, funding contract requirements and professional standards. The Program Director will coordinate program staff members work to be in line with multiple funding source requirements. This position establishes and monitors systems and procedures to ensure appropriate, accessible and timely delivery of quality services. The Program Director will work directly with clients when needed and must be available after hours and on weekends.
Personnel Management
The Program Director leads the Program Management Team and supports all staff, in providing calm and professional services to survivors. The Program Director will recruit, interview and select well-qualified program staff and ensure they have effective ongoing training and professional development. This position implements the agency’s human resources policies, procedures and practices and will oversee performance management and evaluations of all program staff.
Program Evaluation and Record Keeping
The Program Director monitors and maintains uniform systems of client record keeping that ensure strict client confidentiality, seamless client services, and effective program evaluations. This person ensures that all program files, grant files, data, outcomes and reports are accurate and complete. The Program Director is responsible for developing and implementing program evaluation tools and reports that assess program outcomes. The program director oversees team member training on data systems.
Community Relations
The Program Director will actively promote the programs and services of Domestic Violence among social service providers and organizations at local and state levels. This person will maintain professional relationships and working agreements with all other community service providers/systems, ensuring their awareness of agency services. The Program Director will work to advocate for effective community services that are responsive to the needs of survivors. This person will also serve as a community leader on the issues that affect survivors.
Qualifications
  • Must have excellent computer skills and have word, excel spreadsheet knowledge and know how to access and retrieve information from the internet.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass comprehensive background check

Education Requirements
  • M.A. or M.S. Degree in related field or an equivalent combination of experience/education.
  •  4 years supervisory experience
  •  4 years experience providing services to survivors including 2 years in a domestic violence agency
