General Description
The purpose of the position is to initiate, coordinate and execute a high-level of administrative support with cultural sensitivity to Indian Child Welfare department.
Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates a high level professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues
  • Answers and screens telephone calls in a professional and timely manner
  • Takes accurate messages with a high degree of professionalism and courtesy and arranges conference calls
  • Maintains ICW calendar, schedules virtual or in-person meetings  and appointments
  • Maintains databases, social media page and compiles search
  • Assist in meetings with clients, parents, and other interested parties
  • Schedules required appointments for doctor visits, family visitations, court appearances, and other venues
  • Arrange or provide transportation for child(ren) and clients
  • May include coordinating referrals to other programs, services providers, courts, assist in problem resolution, and assist in home visits and assessments
  • Coordinate activities with law enforcement, courts, and other Local, State and Federal entities
  • May assist clients in achieving individualized service plans
  • Preforms administrative support tasks and other related duties for ICW staff
  • May assist in advocating for child(ren) and clients in obtaining services
  • Develop and maintain office and program inventory
  • Assist with special events and projects as assigned
  • Collects demographics, medical history and fact sheet for life book
  • Must possess a history of excellent work attendance
  • Other duties as assigned by Director.
Education & Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least six months related work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • General knowledgeable of Tribal family structure, Tribal customs and Tribal government.
  • Proficiency MS Office and social media technology with a minimum typing speed of 50 wpm.
  • General knowledge of the Indian Child Welfare Act.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skill, able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. unassisted.
  • Able to stand and/or sit of long periods of time.
  • Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to a pass comprehensive background check
