The Land General Laborer is responsible for carrying out Land Arborist’s program objectives. The general laborer will primarily be clearing trees, cutting them into logs for tribal members and delivering the logs.

• Operates trucks various sizes and weights, with both manual and automatic transmissions, in loading, hauling and unloading of equipment, materials and supplies.
• Operates heavy equipment such as backhoe, skidsteer, forklifts, excavator, etc.
• Operates chainsaws and other small equipment and tools.  Maintains all equipment in safe working condition.
• Performs routine inspection and prevention maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to the supervisor, cleans equipment.
• Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
• Attend meetings when requested/required.
• Travel as needed and when requested.

Education / Knowledge Requirements and Qualifications

• HS or GED required.
• Experience operating trucks and other heavy equipment are preferred. 
• Must be able make minor repairs to equipment. 
• The ability to lift 50 pounds.
• A valid Oklahoma Driver’s License is required.  Must be insurable.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check.
