General Description
This position is located within the Absentee Shawnee Tribe Health Programs at the Little Axe and/or Shawnee locations as necessary to the needs of the Title VI Program. The primary purpose of this position to assist kitchen staff with routine duties of meal service and/or after meal clean up, and to deliver meals by Tribal vehicle from the Title VI building to the elderly in Pottawatomie and/or Cleveland Counties.
Responsibilities
Primary Duties include, but not limited to:
Assists in the preparation and cooking of food in accordance with established procedures and sanitary regulations. Assists in setting up serving line and with distributing food to various areas.
Disassembling of serving line and sanitation of transportation equipment (i.e., storage containers, vehicle, and area(s) of preparation. 
Fills trays/food containers for homebound and fills homebound carriers.
Cleans/sanitizes food preparation equipment used and ensure food preparation and service area(s) are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner for the next service day.
Delivery of meal services to homebound.  Operates vehicle(s) safely in accordance with Tribal and State laws.
Must keep tribal vehicles clean inside and out; assures maintenance on the vehicle(s) are current and reports any item(s) requiring attention promptly to management.
Documents paperwork daily and maintains logs where and when appropriate or as directed/trained.  
Hands out information and referral services to participants and other residents in the community as part of an organized health and wellness programmatic effort as directed by Title 6 leadership.
Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements and Qualifications
Must meet local health department requirements for food handlers.
Must maintain participant confidentially and be respectful and sensitive to the needs of program participants.
Must de dependable, punctual and display a friendly attitude, willingness to follow instructions and knowledge and observance of safe food handling procedures.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
