General Description

The purpose of this position is to safeguard the assets and liabilities of Thunderbird Casino by managing/overseeing all activities such as observing, monitoring and reporting on all gaming and non-gaming activities.   While acting as a liaison for the Director of Surveillance the  Lead Operator will be the first chain of command for the shift employees.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct clandestine surveillance of gaming table, slot machines, cage operations, count room operations, and point of sale.
  • Report all illegal and unusual activities to Director of Surveillance or to security to assure property and patron protection.
  • Observe all areas under Surveillance to ensure compliance with Title 31, gaming regulations and in-house policies and procedures.
  • Record surveillance activity in a daily log.
  • Conduct retroactive reviews of incidents as authorized by the Surveillance Director or Executive Director of the Gaming Commission.
  • Maintain DVR video files and evidence.
  • Maintain and operates CCTV system.
  • Maintain confidentiality and have limited contact with casino employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Surveillance Director or Executive Director of the Gaming Commission.
  • Knowledge of install, repair and maintain all surveillance equipment (minor).
  • Responsible for end of shifts’ reports and requests that may occur for each days/nights.
  • Required to know MICS, TICS, P&PS conducted by Gaming Commissions and etc.
  • Position also requires to fill-in on employees calling in and/or taking vacations etc. must be dependable and flexible to the scheduled hours.
  • Be the first to arrive at the beginning of shifts and last to leave when shifts ended.

Education Requirements and qualifications

      High School Diploma or GED.  Previous surveillance or CCTV experience preferred. Must have knowledge of computers and all CCTV equipment and a thorough understanding of the casino operation including knowledge of SOP (Standard Operating Procedures), and MICS (Minimum Internal Control Standards).  Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.  
      Must possess a valid Oklahoma Drivers License. 
      Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain an Absentee Shawnee Tribal Gaming License.
