General Description
This position is located at the LSWN Clinic in Little Axe, OK and the ASTHA Clinic in Shawnee, OK.  These clinics are outpatient multi-disciplinary clinics established and managed by the Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma. The clinics are ambulatory clinics that provide direct care services to Native American patients. The purpose of the position is to provide overall pharmacy assistance to the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Members. This position is under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Accurately prepare medication orders under the direction of a pharmacist, i.e. measure, mix, count, label
  • May measure, mix, count out, label, record amounts and dosages of medications.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Experience in inventory control
  • Must have the ability to act in a professional manner, and relate well to Tribal Members and the general public.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
  • Must be reliable and prompt, while possessing strong work ethics.
  • Shifts and scheduled days will be variable and located at either Pharmacy location, Shawnee or Little Axe. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Some college required with one to two years experience.
  • Must be Pharmacy Technician certified with experience.
  • Two (2) year experience working with Tribal and Federal programs that affect Native American communities.
  • Must be extremely knowledgeable about Absentee Shawnee Tribal customs and language.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
