General Description

The incumbent will provide direct outpatient clinical therapeutic services, prevention and educational services to children, adolescents, and adults; to include crisis intervention.

Responsibilities & Duties

  1.  Provides: assessment, orientation, screening/initial intake, develop mutually agreed upon individual and or family treatment, discharge& aftercare planning.
  2. Meets with patients to obtain information pertinent to providing outpatient therapeutic services.
  3. Designs a treatment plan tailored to the patient’s individual needs based on knowledge of mental health issues and diagnosis to include treatment modalities.
  4. Utilizes a combination of individual and group counseling sessions to assist the patient; observe attitudes and readiness for accepting guidance to meet individual treatment plans.
  5. Meets with family members to educate them on the most useful role that they can play in the patient’s treatment process.
  6. Assist with other staff members in prevention/intervention activities for individuals, families, and the community.
  7. Maintains Service Encounters in HER/ Electronic Health Records, on a daily basis. Modifies the patient’s treatment program as appropriate on the basis of Progress.
  8. Documents daily work load, contacts, etc. and will submit a monthly report.
  9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Qualifications
  1.  Must have a Master’s Degree in Psychology or related field from an accredited university as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
  2. At least three years of experience providing therapy and group facilitation.
Mandatory Requirements:
Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Required to have an OSBI clearance, must not have convictions.
Must possess a valid Oklahoma State Driver’s License.

Prompt and daily attendance is of utmost importance; failure to be on the job not only disrupts the smooth functioning of the employee’s own job, but also inconveniences the other interrelated jobs. The success of an employee depends in large measure on how well the job is done each day.
