The Absentee Shawnee Tribal (AST) Health System is a tribally owned healthcare corporation that services both AST and other Native American Tribal Members. The ASTHS supports internship programs that provide growth and learning opportunities to students in high school, college, and trade/vocations schools. We are committed to attracting and locally growing our own talent for a career in the healthcare profession. Interns are involved in education and training programs designed to provide students with professional experiences and exposure in the hopes of furtherance of their education and training towards securing a healthcare related field, and as such, must have proven they are academically oriented for their benefit and successful completion of the program. Internships assist students in reaching their educational goals by providing an opportunity to augment classroom instruction with exposure to real world employment setting similar to what they will encounter in their completed programs upon graduation. We are offering internship positions with the prospect of attracting and locally growing our own talent for a career in a healthcare profession, either locally or within the state. |
