General Description

The purpose of the position is to provide high-level support by assisting with AST COVID-19 pandemic response.  The position is responsible for handling the receiving of items in the warehouse and ensures that incoming and outgoing shipments are timely, accurate, inspected, sorted and stored appropriately.  The Warehouse Receiver will be responsible for unloading packages, checking the contents and ensuring they match the invoice as well as properly store for pickup, or delivery to departments as well as assisting at Tribal distribution events, providing assistance to Tribal members when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the appropriate staff to review expected deliveries and ensure accuracy
  • Follow proper procedures for receiving all products entering the facility including identifying any items that may have temperature, handling, or storage requirements.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of receiving area including loading dock, warehouse trash areas, and storage units
  • Adhere to all safety procedures while performing receiving duties.
  • Notify ordering department of all deliveries, schedule pickups or arrange and deliver items.
  • Notify ordering departments of any quality or delivery issues related to shipments/items.
  • Maintain all receiving documents and collaborate with the Purchasing positions to report any discrepancies.
  • Regularly check inventory levels in CSI room as well as assisting staff in the inventory of departments.
  • Manage shipping software to support inventory, shipping, and billing activities as required for duties.
  • Perform Administrative tasks and other duties  as  assigned by supervisor

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma or 1 to 2 years’ experience
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
  • Able to ascend and descend stairs
  • Able to squat, bend, stoop, push, kneel and reach
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • Ability to work in various types weather, including extreme heat and cold/wet environments
  • Regularly lift and or move objects 10-60lbs; occasionally lift and or move objects that weigh more than 100lbs.
  • Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License; be able to pass a background and drug test. Native American Preference
