DeWayne Wilson
 
Mr. DeWayne Wilson is the newly appointed Tribal Representative of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma.
The Office of the Tribal Representative has oversight of Education, Cultural Preservation, Gaming Commission and Youth Camp.
Representative Wilson received his Associate of Arts Degree from Haskell Indian Junior College; a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology/Sociology from Pittsburg State University,  and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration from the University of Oklahoma.  Representative Wilson previously has worked nine years with the Absentee Shawnee Tribe (Police Department). Representative Wilson has several years of counseling at the state level, and has DOJ grant writing/ implementation.
Representative Wilson is the son of the late Charlene (Chuggy) Atwell and the grandson of the late Catherine Longman Masquat. Representative Wilson's father was the late Emerson Wilson Sr.  Representative Wilson has two sons, Russell and Erik.
Representative Wilson is very excited and looking forward working for the Tribe, the membership, and the Executive Committee.
