Re: ASP Start Date & Out of School Time
We are pleased to announce that our start date for the After School Program will be August 16, 2021. At this time, we will only be able to pick up from Tecumseh Schools and South Rock Creek. As soon as we are able to hire more tutors we will expand to the Shawnee Public School. At this time, we are only taking waiting list applications. Families will be notified as soon as we are able to compile the enrollment list.
Also, due staff shortage, we will not be able to offer out of school services like we have in the past. We will only be open when the schools are open unless closed for tribal holidays. We understand that this can be frustrating and inconvenient and we hope you understand our limitations at this time. If we resolve the staff shortage and change the out of school options we will notify you immediately.
If you need additional assistance with after school care, please let us know and we can try to assist you in finding a child care provider who can suit your needs. We also offer child care assistance to children who are tribally enrolled with any federally recognized tribe.
Should you have any questions please feel free to contact our office and we will be glad to discuss any questions or concerns you may have. Please feel free to visit our page on the AST Website at www.astribe.com/child-care. You can also email us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
