General Description
The primary purpose of this position to assist kitchen staff with routine duties of meal preparation, meal service and/or after meal clean up, and to deliver noon meals by vehicle from the Title VI Building to the elderly in Pottawatomi County and Cleveland County.
Responsibilities & Duties
  • Assist in food preparation.
  • Fill trays for homebound and fill homebound carriers.
  • Clean food preparation equipment and used and insure food preparation and service area are maintained in a clean and sanitary manner.
  • Delivery of meal services to homebound.
  • Must keep tribal vehicles clean inside and out and in safe driving condition including maintenance on the vehicle.
  • Document paperwork daily.
  • Hand out information and referral service to participants and other residents in the community.
  • Maintain participant confidentiality.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education Requirements and Qualifications
Education and Qualifications
  • High School Graduate or GED Equivalent.
  • Must meet Local Health Department requirements for food handlers.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Must be dependable, punctual and display a friendly attitude, willingness to follow instructions and knowledge and observance of safe food handling procedures.
  • Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend or kneel for long periods of time.
  • Prolonged sitting, standing, or walking; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, and stooping; good finger dexterity and sensory perception; frequent repetitive motions; as well as talking, hearing, and visual acuity are required.
  • Frequent lifting (up to 15 lbs)
  • Occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs)
