General Description
This position is located at the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Health Behavioral Health Department. Behavioral Health Services provides general counseling and therapy needs of members of the Absentee Shawnee Tribe, other federally recognized American Indian Tribes, and Alaska Natives residing in the Tribe’s health program catchment area, and insured, Medicaid eligible patients. 
Responsibilities
Consultation for Program Evaluation/Development, which shall include but shall not be limited to:
Analysis of current services offered through the Behavioral Health Unit.
Program assessment to identify needs for continuum of care.
Generation of report based upon information gathered for program planning.
Assist with program planning to facilitate effective system of care.
Establish evaluation measures for ongoing quality assurance.
Clinical Services, which shall include but shall not be limited to:
Assessment, evaluation, and intervention planning.
Treatment for individuals, groups, children, families and elders.
Case Management.
Case consultation, professional training.
Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements and Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Master’s Degree in a psychology or behavioral health field, social work. License as LPC, LADC, LMFT, LCSW; Experience working within a health care or prevention program is preferred.
Minimum of three years of demonstrated experience supervising staff in a health or behavioral health clinic setting.
Minimum of three years of demonstrated experience in planning, organizing, and program implementation of health or behavioral health services programs or prevention initiatives.
General knowledge of SAMHSA, CARF, AAAHC, and of the Behavioral Health field standards of practice including, but not limited to ethics, confidentiality, and boundaries.
Provide supervision and consultation to all therapists.
Develop or expanding psychiatric services.
Schedule organized multidisciplinary staff meeting.
Develop and schedule peer review on a regular basis.
Ensure that records reflect guidelines set by the Department and meet criteria which are required by regulatory agencies like AAAHC.
Assist in preparing for review and credentialing visits by any regulatory body.
Maintain adequate therapist coverage and is their timekeeper for PTO.
Ensures all therapist intake evaluations, treatment processes and terminations are completed in a timely manner required by the BH Department and regulatory guidelines.
Supervise and assign cases to therapist on a weekly basis.
Assist the BH Medical Director in implementing the Department policies and procedures.
Assist in hiring process of new therapist, clinical staff, and support staff.
Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, time management, and effective problem solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to navigate and foster inter-agency systems.
Ability to develop and lead staff in a team oriented management system.
Knowledge of federal and state funding and certification requirements and rehabilitative facilities.
Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
 Must be able to pass a criminal background check. 
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend or kneel for long periods of time.
Sitting or standing or walking for long period of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking hearing and visual acuity.
