The maintenance worker is responsible to assist the carpenter on the maintenance, repair and general up keep of Tribal member’s homes.This employee’s primary duties will be performed at off campus locations.

• Aids and assists other maintenance personnel at the direction of the project coordinator
• May perform entry level carpentry, electrical, mechanical and plumbing work.
• Ability to perform a full range of carpentry assignments using independent judgment to make decisions requiring the application of procedures and practices to specific work situations.
• Responsible for maintaining the grounds including operating equipment necessary to do so.
• Ability to safely operate a wide variety of hand and power tools, and various other types of machinery.
• Aptitude for small engine repairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Travel as needed and when requested.

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 2-year experience in overall maintenance.
• Knowledge of the standard methods, materials, tools, and equipment of the carpentry trades.
• Knowledge of the potential occupational hazards connected with maintenance work and the safety standards and practices, which should be applied.
• Physically able to perform required duties.
• Lift up to 100lbs.
• Must be dependable
• A valid Oklahoma Driver’s License is required.  Must be insurable.
• Must be able to pass criminal background check.
