August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day. Our Ensuring Hope Project will be providing a survey and goody bag while supplies last on August 31st in front of the Behavioral Health building at the Shawnee Clinic.
Our Tribal Opioid Response Project will also be giving out Narcan kits.
What is Narcan?
NARCAN® is a potentially lifesaving medication designed to help reverse the effects of an opioid overdose in minutes. Since most opioid overdoses occur in the home and are most often witnessed, having a NARCAN® rescue kit nearby can make all the difference. (Source: https://www.narcan.com/#what-is-narcan)
