*Note: Youth not enrolled in one of the above listed school districts must get a letter from the other Tribal 477 Programs stating they are not otherwise being serviced to receive assistance. The 477 Program staff can assist you with who to contact to get this letter.

• Summer Program Begins Soon

• Closed when NRC is closed
• ASP-HSB is not DHS Licensed
• Snacks will be provided
• Accepting all children but AST and Native children with CDI B cards will have preference.
AST 477 Program is now taking waiting list applications for the ASP-HSB which will begin soon for school age children who have completed Kindergarten and up to age 12. This is for AST children who attend North Rock Creek Schools or live in the area. The program will be held at the new After School Program HSB building located at 46309 Garrett's Lake Road.

You will be notified if your name has been selected and we will schedule a time for you to take a photo to be placed in the AST Newsletter and on the Tribe’s media outlets. Are you a Native American student who is seeking a future in a healthcare related field?
Available internships - 12 internships positions
Date range - June 2 - July 25th (8 week program)
Hours - An average of 20 hours a week
Pay - $13 per hour
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Must be Native American (AST Preferred) with a valid CDIB card
Current GPA of 3.0 or above preferred
Must be a High School Senior (Class of 2025) or current College/Vo-Tech student
Must be between the age of 18-24 years old
Must be available Monday - Friday 8a-5p, there may be some evenings and weekends
Must be available the first two weeks of the internship

AST - Vision Zero - Safer Streets Saves Lives Survey

The Absentee Shawnee Tribe was awarded a Safe Streets for All (SS4A) planning grant from the United States Department of Transportation for the creation of a Safety Action Plan (SAP). The goal of the SAP is to reduce and eliminate serious injuries and fatal crashes on roadways in the Absentee Shawnee Tribe SAP study area by identifying roadway safety problems and roadway locations with the most significant safety risks.
