General Description
The Wellbriety Coordinator will work one on one with approved clients of Wellbriety Court from beginning to the end of their Wellbriety Treatment Plan. The Coordinator will monitor their success and if there are any violations during their treatment plan. The Wellbriety Coordinator will be responsible for reporting to the Wellbriety Team which will include the Criminal Judge, Attorney General, Court Clerk on any changes or success that happens for any clients through this program. The Wellbriety Coordinator will also have meetings with the clients of Wellbriety Court and daily contact with the clients. The Wellbriety Coordinator will need to be very organized and meticulous with these files. The clients of Wellbriety Court will be held to a higher standard, the Coordinator will need to be able to be assertive as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain Wellbriety files for each client to monitor their progress through their Wellbriety Treatment plan.
  • Ensure client is compliant with guidelines and individual requirements imposed in Wellbriety Court.
  • Enforce all program rules with client and report any violations to the Wellbriety Court through Wellbriety Court team.
  • Assist client to comply with the unique requirements established by the Wellbriety Court Judge. Identify and, with each client, address any other pending arrest warrants, legal financial obligations from ODCR.com, and/or suspended or revoked driving privileges.
  • Monitor client interaction with other governing departments and agencies (Surrounding Tribal Courts, State Courts from ODCR.com, Inmate searches).
  • Supervise Wellbriety Court clients and hold clients accountable for Court-sanctioned behavior. Provide results promptly and accurately to the Wellbriety Court Manager/Court Clerk and/or appropriate Wellbriety Court team.
  • Encourage healthy and positive life-skills and/or reward clients for compliant and progressive behaviors.
  • Encourage/motivate positive behaviors and promote compliance with all program requirements.
  • Compile, analyze and maintain complete, accurate and timely records of contact and information obtained relative to each client.
  • Provide courtroom testimony as required.
  • Perform other related duties as required. Conduct regularly-scheduled participant interviews per clients treatment schedules.
  • Give instruction on all program rules and expectations.
  • Prepare and present progress and/or non-compliance reports bi-weekly regarding individual compliance by Wellbriety Court clients.
  • Present written and oral reports to the appropriate Wellbriety Court team(s) regarding client progress and compliance.
  • Recommend whether or not client should continue move to next phase or continue on current Wellbriety Court program.
  • Regularly meet with the appropriate Wellbriety Court team(s) and make recommendations on possible, alternative plans of action.
  • Suggest/offer services and resources that support successful client rehabilitation and compliance.
  • Meet with assigned Wellbriety Court clients.
  • Make unannounced and/or unscheduled calls to Wellbriety Court clients, either alone or in coordination with other Treatment Court professionals.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with Wellbriety Court clients and their support systems, attorneys, and law enforcement personnel, other agencies, co-workers and the general public.
  • Work closely with Wellbriety agencies and other community resources to monitor programs and assess clients’ compliance with Wellbriety plans.
  • Encourage and monitor clients’ compliance in the payment of treatment fees and Wellbriety Court participation fees.
  • Administer, including observation when appropriate, drug testing, including urine (UA), oral swabs or other approved techniques, according to applicable Treatment Court policy.
Education Requirements
 Bachelor’s Degree or higher is preferred. At least 1 year of working in a Court setting is required, to understand the logistics of the Criminal/Civil Court settings, plus the purpose of a Wellbriety Court. Prior experience working in a database with electronic Court Records. Previous experience of at least one year of working with individuals in Criminal Court who are struggling with substance abuse problems.
  • Training for Wellbriety Court will be provided throughout the year.
  • Onsite training for ODCR.com and Inmate searches will also be provided.
