General Description
This position will assist Tribal Representative in oversight duties of education workforce incentive programs and any projects assigned.  Taking directives, planning, researching, organizing, implementing and directing action as necessary.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a plan for community education engagement
  • Responsible for the direct day-to-day administration of the Workforce education program.
  • Ensuring the program is accounted for in a manner consistent with federal rules and regulations, Tribal policy and procedures, program policy and procedures.
  • Coordinates with and accepts referrals from AST education department to provide services to Absentee Shawnee tribal members.
  • Develops individual education goals and plans for Workforce participants
  • Provides educational and cultural presentations designed to promote healthy adult decision making
  • Monitor/ Assist with Workforce participant`s progress and goals.
  • Ensures that program goals and objectives are met.
  • Ensures that all reports required and requested  by the AST are filed in a timely manner
  • Monitors program budget balances to ensure budget compliance.
  • Schedule and strengthen key relationships needed for the renewal of programs. Communicate regularly and effectively with representatives of area technology centers.
  • Alert Executive Committee to potential problems and offer pro-actively viable solutions
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Representative
Education / Knowledge Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3 years’ experience.
  • Possess professional written and verbal communication.  Professional interpersonal skills and appearance.  Ability to motivate and produce work products in a timely manner.  Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.  Ability to work and interact with diverse individuals.
  • Experience using industry-standard graphic design software (eg. Photoshop, Illustrator, Canvas)
  • Experience with email marketing, and/or social media management
  • Knowledge of federal grants.
  • Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time as well as bend, stoop and kneel.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs
  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
