General Description
This Strategic Prevention Framework-Partnership for Success (SPS-PFS) Project Director position will require leadership, organizational skills, program development experience, knowledge of evaluation, and expertise in the areas of mental health, and community development. Also, providing coordination across the system, recruiting stakeholders, providing technical consultation at the local level, interacting with the public, working closely with the tribe, and data collection. The Project Director will be responsible for day-to-day activities including organizing activities, coordinating events, training, and establishing communication between staff, communities, schools, and agencies.
Essential Duties & Responsibilites
Required duties may occur at LSWN in support of programmatic objectives and to service the entire tribal population located in our entire service area.
Coordinate and conduct community outreach to increase community involvement in current programming and research projects.
Work with other Tribal grantees and Indian Health Service to access, analyze and summarize data priority.
Collaborate with Tribal personnel and local communities to develop procedures for collection of data related to substance abuse.
Gather and obtain data from community agencies and community members.
Will report all final substance abuse data reports and subsequent analysis to SAMHSA.
Collaborates with the Principle Investigator, and project team in the development and delivery of program evaluation.
Assure that confidentiality and participant protection procedures are appropriately administered.
Attend all related meeting and trainings.
Travel to meet grant requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements and Qualifications
Master’s Degree in public health or equivalent grant experience, or two-years of experience with a tribal behavioral health unit or cross-agency experience with a community-based project.
Maintain a valid, unrestricted Oklahoma Driver’s License
Demonstrated proficiency in grants management, public speaking, group facilitation, training, prevention program development, prevention evaluation, strategic planning, and implementation, and data compilation.
Understand principles, practices and techniques of grant project planning, development, evaluation, procedures of budget preparation and monitoring, and contracted services.
Immediate to advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
Culturally sensitive.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend or kneel for long periods of time.
Sitting or standing or walking for long period of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking hearing and visual acuity.
