General Description
The purpose of the position is to initiate, coordinate and execute a high-level of administrative support for the Accounts Payable sector of Finance. Responsible for entering all the properly approved invoices and ensuring the invoices have the correct coding for all programs.  Entering Travel Advances & Settlements. 
Responsibilities & Duties
Ensures the invoices have been properly approved by authorized personnel in each program/department.
Ensures the amount being processed is the same amount on the Purchase Requisition and the Invoice, and if there are any discrepancies, verifies with the appropriate program/department.
Responsible for entering invoices.
Provides a report to the Accounts Payable Lead to double check invoice amounts, GL coding, and correct vendor.
Receipts deposits in – as needed
Runs the checks for the check run and gets the proper signatures to release the checks.
Goes over the Wal-Mart and Lowe’s statements.
Checks every invoice number, date, fund, grant, program, department, g/l code and correct amount and accuracy of the PR – as needed for AP Lead sessions.
Scan and attach AST & ASTHA check runs in MIP to vendors.
Check bank Positive Pay – as needed
Demonstrates a high level professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.
Takes accurate messages with a high degree of professionalism and courtesy.
Orders and maintains supplies. Coordinates equipment maintenance.
Proactively establishes and maintains highly organized filing system; files correspondence and other records.
Distributes daily internal/external mail.
Must adhere to Absentee Shawnee Tribe Personnel Policies and Drug and Alcohol Policies
Must possess a history of excellent work attendance.
Other duties as assigned by AP Supervisor.
Education and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent with at least three years related work experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Associates in Accounting preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office and social media technology with a minimum typing speed of 50 wpm.
General knowledge of the Indian Child Welfare Act.
Strong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skill, able to manage priorities and workflow.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to pass a drug test for pre-employment for the Tribe.
Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License. 
Must be able to pass a background check. 
Physical Requirements Working Conditions
Sitting or standing or walking for long period of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking hearing and visual acuity.
Frequent lifting (up to 15 lbs.)
Occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs.)
