General Description
This is an administrative and operational role that focuses on monitoring and maintaining the fleet inventory. This position is responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting of data used to support complex decision-making using accepted asset management principles and practices; supports strategic planning and prioritization; utilize software to monitor and track assets and fleet. Maintains accurate records of vehicles and ensures compliance with government rules and regulations. Develop asset management processes and continuous improvement to processes.
Responsibilities
  • Develop preventative maintenance program for all equipment and coordinate contracts with vendors to perform repairs.
  • May be required to operate a variety of vehicles and equipment including backhoes, loaders, dump trucks etc. for miscellaneous services or to inspect for inventory purposes.
  • Utilize Microix purchasing system, MIP accounting system, GPS and WEX software
  • Develop and provide monthly reports
  • Assist with annual auction
  • Responsible for checking, inspecting, and organizing all assets to ensure equipment is in working order
  • Obtain and review competitive bids, quotes, and proposals for purchasing vehicles and equipment
  • Assist with updating and maintaining inventories for all equipment and supplies including location, asset tag number, serial number, make and model of equipment into data systems.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner which facilitates the overall efficiency and success of business operations.
  • Creative with excellent organizational and decision-making skills and strong analytical expertise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Procurement Director
Education Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of 3 years’ experience with particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position
  • Principles, operations, organization, policies and objectives of all aspects of equipment maintenance and repair, and operation of vehicles.
  • Automotive, mechanical, and electrical experience is required.
  • Pertinent federal, state and local laws, codes and regulations. 
  • Work independently with little direction. 
  • Strong office skills, computer proficiency, and the ability to work closely, and relate well with fellow employees
  • Proficiency in use of basic business software (word processing, spreadsheets, email, presentations) or other project scheduling application to create and monitor project schedules required. 
  • Strong communication skills both written and oral required
  • Physically able to perform required duties (lifting 50 lbs., standing for long periods of time, stooping, squatting and occasionally working outdoors)
  • Required to adhere to the confidentiality statement
  • Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license (CDL license preferred), able to pass a background investigation, and be able to pass a drug screen
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Working knowledge of asset and fleet management skills (i.e. writing & understanding bid specs, rotation intervals to be based on depreciation, cost accounting, and purchasing;
  • Should enjoy working outdoors, in all weather conditions; 
  • Be practical and hard-working;

  • Have organizational ability; 
  • Have the ability to endure isolation and limited social contact; 
  • Have good physical strength and stamina; 
  • Be independent, responsible and self-disciplined; 
  • Ability to lift 50lbs. 
  • Sitting or standing or walking for long period of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking hearing and visual acuity.
