General Description
This position is located within the boundaries of the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Clinic - Shawnee location.  The purpose of the position is to provide overall pharmacy assistance to the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Members.  This position is under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist.

Responsibilities/Skills
  • Will be responsible for reviewing all third party claims and ensuring accuracy (multi-site)
  • Will be responsible for keeping inventory costs down by identifying and managing inventory trends (multi-site)
  • Will prepare monthly reports documenting insurance and inventory trends (multi-site)
  • Will be responsible for creating educational materials for technicians and clerks to improve third party / inventory operations (multi-site)
  • Will be responsible  for creating weekly Technician/Clerk schedule
  • Must have the ability to act in a professional manner, and relate well to Tribal Members and the general public.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
  • Must be reliable and prompt, while possessing strong work ethics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Qualification Requirements
  • Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Must have Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • Must be computer literate and have proficiency with Computer RX, Mckesson, Word, Excel.
  • Must be a Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician with 15+ years’ experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Must have extensive experience in Pharmacy third party billing procedures / guidelines.
  • Must have extensive experience with Pharmacy inventory control.
  • Two (2) year experience working with Tribal and Federal programs that affect Native American communities.
  • Must be extremely knowledgeable about Absentee Shawnee Tribal customs and language.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
