General Description
The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in delivering pharmaceutical services to patients at the Absentee Shawnee Tribal Clinics. This position supports daily pharmacy operations through prescription processing, patient service, inventory management, and administrative support. The technician operates under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist and reports directly to the Pharmacist-in-Charge.
responsibilities & Duties
Accurately prepare and fill medication orders under the direction of a pharmacist.
Provide courteous and professional customer service to Tribal Members and the general public.
Support and contribute to the mission, vision, and goals of the Pharmacy Department and the organization.
Maintain pharmacy inventory, ensuring proper storage and tracking of medications.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Must obtain Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician licensure during initial training if not already licensed. Current licensure must be in good standing.
National certification (CPhT) preferred.
Prior experience working with Tribal and Federal programs impacting Native American communities is preferred.

Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend or kneel for long periods of time.
Prolonged sitting, standing, or walking; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, and stooping; good finger dexterity and sensory perception; frequent repetitive motions; as well as talking, hearing, and visual acuity are required.
