General Description
The AST Health System’s Coordinator of Print Production has oversight and management of all print production activities for the Health System.  The Print Production Coordinator also tracks and coordinates with the AST Health System’s Forms Committee to provide indexing, coordinated committee approval, including tracking of issuing and rescinding of outdated worksheets, forms, pharmacy pads, workbooks, pamphlets, and other media generated by the AST Health System in the course of conducting standard large-scale printing operations. Print production office also oversees the printer copier contract(s) and provides a single face to customer service to the health system and administration for tracking costs, repairs, technology refresh, and other logistical requirements with the copier contract for the health system. Assures uninterrupted service and expedited copier repairs and toner management in coordination and collaboration with the AST Health System’s Medical Materials Department. Closely collaborates with the Health and Tribal Media Departments on projects. Ensure that print products are of the highest quality, which includes the color, shape, and sharpness of the final product. Print production managers oversee a print project from the initial phase of reviewing client requirements to the final stages of production and distribution. Work usually takes place in an office environment and may include meeting with clients to understand the scope of the project, making phone calls to vendors and using computer software to finalize designs. Other duties may involve managing deadlines and giving final approval of print jobs before they see production.    
Responsibilites
Conduct project management of direct mail, newspaper ads, print programs and other designs by negotiating, sourcing, and collaboration with Administration and Health Media, as well as management with approved suppliers.
Coordinate and manage workflow throughout multiple agency and production relationships inside and outside the Health System.
Manage subsidiary assets related to print production; assures graphics and illustrations as well as other materials are appropriately presented for public image; applies rules and regulatory constraints with print production.
Implement special projects as assigned like digital asset management system, photography, soft proofing process and in-house expertise to department; works closely with Health Media towards common organization goals and objectives.
Manage postal needs and ensures adherence to regulations; ensures budgeting for uninterrupted servicing of Health System.
Prepare specifications for new parts with vendors and negotiate effectually pricing structures.
Ensure to involve in process and supervise prototypes, mock-ups, printer proofs and electronic templates with vendors, employees, grant programs, and other Health Department Directors.
Collaborates with finance on budgeting, estimates and cost analysis of actual product compared to proposed project.
Participate in vendor as well as technology assessments to maintain costs and high-quality in image of Health System.
Participate and sustain relations and business reviews with prime partners and vendors.
Manage concept development, creative procedure, and rewards marketing collateral production; resource management ongoing to assure value-based efforts in printing and production services.
Participate in project status meetings and forms committee; tracks and documents approval and indexes of forms.
Provide print production quality assurance and reviews entire work from concept to final delivery.
Provide optional creative plus production scenarios on basis of budget as well as communication restrictions.
Maintain strong working relationships with Administration, Health Media, and Grant programs as well as Tribal representatives regarding printing support and media/graphics coordination.
Other duties as assigned.
Education/Qualification Requirements
High School Graduate or GED; Associates Degree or technical training preferred.
Job Requirements: 3-5 years progressive experience in print production/graphics management.
Print production experience preferred within a hospital or health system to include level of technical expertise in printing operations and management.
Strong computer skills, ideally with experience using Windows-based PC and other relevant printing and graphics programs.
Ability to coordinate multiple group efforts within the health system to achieve objectives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, with awareness of deadlines.
Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend or kneel for long periods of time.
