Maintains grounds and participates in ground construction activities. Working conditions include dirty environment, extreme temperature, lifts or carries heavy objects. Installation, relocation, and maintenance of building HVAC equipment and systems; assists in the diagnoses of malfunctions of HVAC equipment and systems and/or components for the purpose of identifying repair and replacement needs. Assist the HVAC Mechanic with any other duties.

• Assisting with the installation of HVAC systems on commercial and residential properties.
• Cleaning and replacing air ducts.
• Operating a variety of hand and power tools needed for HVAC installation.
• Following instructions for picking up and delivering parts, tools, materials, and supplies to and from the job site.
• Maintain plants shrubs, trees, and flowers; prunes trees and shrubs.
• Removes debris from stairs and walks, rakes leaves, and mows lawn.
• Waters trees, shrubs, and lawns and performs irrigation activities.
• Sprays for weeds and insects using unrestricted chemicals as required.
• Operates large power lawn movers, edger’s, hand tools, and large vehicles associated with ground maintenance and landscaping activities.
• Operates pick-up trucks, flat-rack trucks, dump trucks for hauling purposes and for trash and debris removal.
• Performs minor maintenance and repair on equipment and tools as required.
• Performs and assists in building repairs on Shawnee campus as needed.
• Preforms and assists with custodial duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of equipment, tools, and procedures of grounds constructions and care.
• Knowledge of fertilizers, insecticides, and herbicides used in grounds care and gardening.
• Skill in operating grounds maintenance and grounds construction equipment.
• Position requires valid Oklahoma Driver’s license
• Must pass successful drug screening and background check
