General Description |
This position will be required to handle the day-to-day operations of the Cultural/Historical Preservation Department, which include, but not limited to, managing the budget, reviewing incoming correspondence and preparing outgoing correspondence for the Department. Promoting and preserving the Shawnee language and cultural resources. Responsible for the management of the Tribe’s historical archives.

Education Requirements |
Must have knowledge of Absentee Shawnee Tribe history, culture, traditions and language. Communicates effectively both orally and in writing in dealing with Tribal staff, Tribal leaders and State and Federal agencies. Possess grant-writing skills. Ability to manage program budgets, program goals and objectives, and coordinate projects within the department.
• Must have computer knowledge and experience with Microsoft software, GIS program capabilities and GPS Unit operation.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients and general public.
Able to travel frequently, and access areas of interest.
Must be professional in demeanor and appearance.
Must have a valid driver licenses and be insurable.
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
