Implement Shawnee Language Program curricula to instruct tribal members of the language and culture. This individual will identify learning platforms, develop class schedules, facilitate student enrollment, and teach language classes from the elementary level to fluency.

• Obtain certification in the culturally sensitive instruction of the Shawnee language
• Identify learning platforms
• Establish class schedules
• Develop and distribute flyers, emails, and other promotional outreach materials
• Enroll students into classes
• Teach and preserve the Shawnee language
• Measure student progress through class assignments and activities, tests, and satisfaction surveys

• Exceptional knowledge of Shawnee language and culture
• Willingness to obtain teaching certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Foreign Language, Cultural Studies, or other related field preferred
• 1 years’ experience in teaching preferred
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with novice language learners
• Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
• Knowledge of online learning platforms such as Zoom, Blackboard, or other virtual course applications
• Proficient knowledge of computer software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
• Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
