General Description
The Case Manager will be responsible for being the first point of contact for most victims/survivors who seek services through the domestic violence department. This person will be responsible for completing intakes, crisis calls, safety planning, referrals, and transportation as well as other duties assigned by the Director.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct intakes and help clients develop personalized safety plan, provide ongoing follow-up to help client keep their family safe from violence.
  • Provide client advocacy, empowerment and motivation and engage in behaviors that will prevent child exposure to family violence.
  • Provide case navigation including making referrals, linking clients to supportive services, removing barriers to accessing services, and following-up on connections.
  • Assist clients in obtaining shelter as needed.
  • Responsible for maintenance of client charts and all contact documentation.
  • Ensure that all documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collect all surveys and outcome measures.
  • Coordinate transportation schedules and appointments.
  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; compiling statistics for the purpose of reporting and improving services.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; maintaining professional networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Conduct presentations for the agency.
  • Monitor client’s progress towards goals.
  • Timely maintenance of client files and documentation adhering to program/grant requirements.  
  • Required to be on call for emergencies and work some evenings based on client/program need.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the policies and procedures guiding the work of this position in particular and the program or department overall.  Perform job functions in line with these policies and procedures.
  • In/Out of State Training as permitted by funding.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Social Work or a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preference will be given to persons with the following or similar certifications: Certified Domestic & Sexual Violence Response Professional, State-Certified Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention Training Program or SANE/SART (sexual assault nurse examiner/sexual assault response team).
  • Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Native American Preference/EOE/Drug Free Workplace.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, education, or other related field. Preference given to someone with experience with domestic violence and high-risk families who have complex needs. Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s license. Must be able to pass a background check. Native American Preference/EOE/Drug Free Workplace.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to speak effectively before individuals, public groups and employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts required for basic computations
REASONING ABILITY:
To solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Preference will be given to persons with the following or similar certifications:  Certified Domestic & Sexual Violence Response Professional, State-Certified Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention Training Program.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The employee work environment may have some hostile characteristics encountered while performing the primary functions of this job. The employee should have knowledge of techniques to deal with hostile clients.
Travel:
This job will require some in-state and out-of-state travel.
