General Description
This position is located within the Absentee Shawnee Tribe’s Health Programs at the Little Axe Health Center in Norman, OK. The purpose of the position is to coordinate the transportation of eligible tribal citizens to their medical appointments and for the delivery of medications to patients.
Responsibilites
Completes and maintains schedule for department, travel logs, new daily transports/deliveries, and provides monthly statistical data for program reporting. Responsible for vehicle maintenance and overall program coordination.
Works closely with Pharmacist to coordinate medication delivery on priority bases and works closely with Community Health Nursing to determine patient’s need.
Supports departmental budget and ensures trips are coordinated to efficiently and economically support the maximum number of tribal citizen’s request for transport
Complete basic assessment of patient’s environment to determine program eligibility
Education Requirements
Native American Preference/EEO/Drug Free Workplace
Must possess valid, non-restricted driver’s license with no moving violation for three (3) years prior to employment.
Must have high school diploma or GED
CPR Certification
Must be able to follow moderately complex instructions/directions and read & interpret road maps.
Must be willing to work under adverse weather conditions and varied hours, no set breaks or lunch times.
Must be able to safely operate the vehicles provided by the ASTHA for transportation and delivery service.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Must have a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License. 
Must be able to pass a background check. 
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend or kneel for long periods of time.
Sitting or standing or walking for long period of time; occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking hearing and visual acuity.
Frequent lifting (up to 15 lbs)
Occasional lifting (up to 30 lbs)
